 Reflection of Light

Reflection is a fundamental property of light where it changes direction upon striking a surface. This phenomenon occurs due to the interaction between light and the surface of an object. When light hits a smooth surface like a mirror, it reflects uniformly, following the laws of reflection:

•  The incident ray, the reflected ray, and the normal (an imaginary line perpendicular to the surface at the point of incidence) all lie in the same plane.
  
  
• The angle of incidence (the angle between the incident ray and the normal) is equal to the angle of reflection (the angle between the reflected ray and the normal).
